Reading the chart

Grey curve — Swiss hiking model
The theoretical pace model used by SwitzerlandMobility, empirically fitted to Swiss trail data. Pace is lowest around flat terrain and increases steeply on both steep descents and climbs.
Red curve — Your pace (regression)
A degree-4 polynomial fitted to your measured segments. Shows your personal pace model over the slope range actually covered in the track.
